Woman airlifted from Charmouth beach

A WOMAN was airlifted from Charmouth beach on Saturday after falling and injuring her hip.

Coastguards from Lyme Regis and West Bay attended the scene, as well as the coastguard helicopter, at 1.42pm.

The woman was airlifted to Dorchester Rugby Club, where she was then transported by land to Dorset County Hospital.

Wyke coastguard team also assisted with providing a safe landing site for the helicopter.
